From Omaha School of Massage Therapy of Herzing University: "Since 1989, Omaha School of Massage Therapy has been dedicated to the mission of consistently pursuing academic excellence in massage therapy. By exposing our students to a well-balanced program that incorporates theory, physiology, anatomy and practical experiences, our Massage Therapy training becomes pivotal to personal and professional growth within this exciting and fulfilling industry.
"Omaha School of Massage Therapy features as diploma program that covers an extensive base of knowledge of this ancient healing art and combines it with modern medical and practical courses. The program features massage theory and practice, student success strategies, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, CPR and first aid, hydrotherapy, exercise training, business and health service management, wellness, Eastern modalities, pathology and clinic work. In our final module, you begin practicing 8 hours of massage a week on actual customers under supervision until you complete 190 hours total. We will help you set up sessions on a flexible schedule to accommodate your and your client's needs. We think this helps you learn how to build clientele while still in school.
"Since the summer of 1991, Omaha School of Massage Therapy has graduated more than 800 students. Completion of the rigorous 1,000-hour Massage Therapy program is a momentous accomplishment, and one that we are proud to have shared with each graduate. We provide instruction and a thorough working knowledge of various therapeutic massage techniques, the function and structure of the human body, and the development of professional habits."
