From Mountain Air Helicopters: "In the classroom you will find one on one ground instruction that will ingrain the principles of flight along with a personal desire to see you succeed. The concepts you grasp in the classroom will lead to your capture of the controls in the air. Mountain Air Helicopters is the first step to your success as a Professional Helicopter Pilot. Mountain Air Helicopters provides flight training to the professional students, the one that maintains the desire to be pilot mixed with a passion for flight. We train in Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters as well as the added benefit of having an MD500E, turbine aircraft.
"There are a lot of flight schools out there and it can sometimes be difficult to find the one that is right for you. Here are some of the key points that make Mountain Air Helicopters a different helicopter school. We offer one on one instruction, both in the air and on the ground, however our ground school will not cost you much more than a course taught in a classroom. We believe that it is one on one instruction that leads to flawless aviating. Training is set up around the students schedule and learning style.
"Our location provides several positives to our students training. The Airport sits at 4457' and density altitudes ranging as high as 8500', higher than most airports in Utah. This offers our students a challenging learning environment. Students can easily find housing ranging from $100- 1200 per month. Logan is home to Utah State University which allows students to find inexpensive housing off campus. Finally, Class G Airspace allows students a greater flexibility to train at the airport without having to face the restrictions of controlled airspace. In the helicopter time is money, we want to make sure that you are not wasting time traveling to another airport to begin your lesson."
